The sixth-grade year provides a traditional academic curriculum while recognizing and embracing the transitional experience of new Eaton Hall students. 在秋季和冬季学期, faculty members and advisors seek to help each student create a system of academic organization and study skills appropriate for their academic classes. 年内, students learn research and computer skills in multiple subjects, 学习代数入门, 可以参加有组织的运动队吗, take part in a year-long intramural program of competitions, 在乐队或唱诗班演唱会上表演.
七年级The seventh-grade year reflects a transition to more sophisticated academic work and a larger variety of course offerings, including two different courses in math and three different courses in the fine arts. The reading selections in English and history are more advanced in terms of theme and genre, and writing assignments in all disciplines stress individual analysis, 个人反省, and the proper use of research documentation. 在春季学期, students engage in a lengthy co-curricular project in their English and history courses, culminating in a well-organized research paper. 学生s also go on several field trips related to American history throughout the year.

The eighth-grade year is characterized by an emphasis on more abstract mathematical reasoning in algebra and geometry, 课堂辩论, 中级外语学习. 学生s have the opportunity to continue their musical studies in Symphonic 乐队, 合唱团, or Show Choir; explore their artistic creativity in studio art; or stretch their writing skills in Creative Writing.
Eighth grade students benefit from the chance to be leaders among their younger peers and reflect on the personal growth they have experienced in Eaton Hall. Eighth grade students participate in all Eaton Hall events, 包括舞蹈, 校内的, 和我们中学的运动队. The year culminates in a trip to Washington D.C., which includes visits to the Smithsonian Museums and an historical walking tour.

Continuing with 乐队 and 合唱 also offers chances for competition, with many of our Eaton Hall students achieving All-合唱 or All-乐队 recognition. Our students make the most of what is available to them, and it is common to see several lacrosse sticks or soccer cleats outside of the auditorium during spring musical rehearsals.
